pcreator? :P Im not sure if textures can have partial translusence. (gradient transparent, like that shot looks like.)
 
I like it better with flat red ends and transparent like the original one  :-[
 
I don't really care too much about minor deviations...the man's free to deviate as much as he wants, he's the texturer! I will admit, however, that I'd prefer an Ultima Weapon that preserves it's look-and-feel. The translucence of the Ultima Weapon made it seem as if it were made of some sort of supernatural material, and I'd prefer as much as possible to maintain that feel, if not the translucence outright.
 
even if it doesnt resemble the original ultima that much, it still looks awesome
 
I actually really like Millenia's take on the Ultima Weapon. It reminds me more of the actual enemy Ultima Weapon (Spikes, Darker colour etc.), which is, I think, what it's supposed to remind you of, since IIRC it's the prize you get for killing it.
 
I even think it looks pretty good without having the "energy" blade
 
Wow, i actually do like those spikes on it, despite the originals being rounded.

I also like the metal blade, but if millenia makes a crystal blade, whos to say his texture wont make it look cooler and more  :-o then it does now?
 
A compromise perhaps.  He could take the blue in the middle of the blade and make it the translucent crystal while having the outer edge remain metal.  That way the "core" of the blade would appear to be forged out of a materia type substance.

Seriously, how do you churn out these godly textures and models at such a fast pace!?
 
i think its perfect..never was for the design of the original. just my opinion..
 
There is a problem with that. The blade is supped to be crystal  and change color based on your stats.
 
Btw, Millenia are you going to do Death Penalty from FF7: DoC for Vincent or keep the original?

Judging with the images i've seen thus far he'll be going with the original Maybe with artistic liberties. (such as the amazing one with Ragnorok)

Millenia, i was wondering, do you plan to release all of clouds swords when finished? or when you've finished all character weapons?

Gonna release all Cloud swords when I have them converted and taken screens of. Will probably take a couple of weeks.

It would certainly make things a lot easier. Do you have MSN or something so we can talk later on?
 
Many a people may not like the Ultima Weapon as much as they should, I for one have got to say that it looks awesome.
Although it is off that the weapon won't be able to alter colors based on the stats, but still, overall the design of it is simply magnificent.
Can't wait for these to be on release.
