Well, I'm working on this one:

Just look at the left screen ;)

I like it more dark- what do you think?

Mako, that is really good! But! There's just one problem and I hope I don't cause too much controversy clarifying this.
That will make it seem like Cloud and Aerith were meant for each other. I see it as more of a Cloud/Tifa kind of thing. Hmm.  :|

BTW D33eniz, I like that dark one on the left screen! :)

No but the story surrounds these two individuals Aeris plays a key role in saving the planet and I did it for emotional value to. Plus I like the colors if I could somehow make it work for grimmy's pic...

Plus I finished it (I think) moved cloud over and added gloss. I really like the logo!

wow, good job everyone.  I'm liking the evolution of the various screens thats coming through in this thread. Just a reminder, we'd like "Team Avalanche Overhaul Project" (or something along those lines) to be mentioned somewhere in your screen, but don't make it the focus.

Looks good but it might be better to omit project and just make it Team Avalanche Overhaul
 
Just throwing thise out there, would it be at all possible to implement a video for the menu screen instead of an image?
 
i was actually thinkingalong the lines of animated textures, but i don't know if it is possible to force the game to animate something. Im sure aali knows more about this than anyone else...
 
I am sure it is possible, but it would be a hack much like aali's full screen title image is. So ask him if he is willing to implement it.
 
I was thinking the vid starts with the original low rez buster sword image, then some phoenix down (feathers!) flutter down to it, flash it into a high rez model with team avalanch written on the side, something like that, or just a bunch of crazy vid clips in corners of the black screen (still in the buster sword shot)

That is an amazing idea!  What we actually could currently do is end sqlogo.avi with a shot of the original buster sword and then animate some phoenix down feathers falling over it.  Then at the very end of the video a flash of white... now cut to the title screen with the updated buster sword.  That wouldn't be hard to do at all... as long as someone knows how to animate.
 
thats a good idea! great thinking, I can animate the feathers no problem. I need to make a high rez buster first though :P

While i'm at it i suppose we should fix the square logo to, since its a shit video ;P could just put something like Team Avalanche presents, then the SE logo, then the buster effect
