If I can have my way, the TLS store will be removed. As the site's new Content Coordinator, it is my role to look at these things. I'll see what agreements I can reach with the other site staff.

It says in returns: " 7 days money back, buyer pays return shipping" so if someone could buy it then quickly rip it and send it back for a full refund?!  ::)
Scan, rip, return ;)

Man, I can't believe something like this exists. Square are a bunch of meanies for keeping this dedicated community in the dark.

Out there are the full original masters... and square can't be arsed releasing them all. Or... they lost em.

I'm guessing the latter from what I've heard of their troubles with the PC release. It sounds like most of the assets were lost. I guess it's possible that some unfinished, pre-processed versions exist on some 15-year old backup tape somewhere in Square's storage units, but that doesn't mean we're going to see them.

They look better than the originals to me... uploaded in 2012. How did we miss this, c'mon guys lol

I actually found and bought that DVD a couple of months back for $50, and yeah it's really not that big of a deal, not to mention the videos seem to have been captured on tape - strong reds bleed out and there's a little interference here and there, like the kind you used to see on tapes. Still better than the originals but there's so much missing.

What a find. These aren't in great shape, but they have a lot of potential for cleaning up.

Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous that they are interlaced too...  I mean they are better than the originals, but that ain't saying much.  The other issue is that because of the ones missing, any project that uses the higher res ones will have a mismatch.  Some in higher res, some in low.

In fact they were already reviewed and 'released' by Shademp on the lifestream in better quality compared to the UTube ones.

I've been using the sources for reference, because there's a lot more detail in those CG's. :-)
sseI was under NDA untill they were released/sse
Even the original PSX movies do have a lot more detail compared to the so called upscaled SE releases.

sseThis is what I'm curently using for Junbin3.../sse

I've just had a good look at them, and some may be useful to mod with.  But it's still a disappointment, and there is an annoying green tint.

Just having a quick squiz at them, it seems like it might give more room for improvement with some filters and upscaling? Not sure...
