But I have one question please ! If I've correctly understand, now that we can use PNG files for field and battle enhancement, can't we do the same thing for battle models ?! (Like Barret and Cloud... and other mods like PRP ?) converting TEX files to PNG files and using them without modifying the LGP file ?! (We need to know corrects filenames and that should works no ?)

I'm asking that for 2 reasons :
1 - Using PNG Files allow us to use originals LGP files, a way more easy to use !
2 - It's even more easy to enable/disable mods and (for example) making screenshots or footages to compare original version VS modded one

from a glance at yer questions (hope i'm answering appropriately) - we could change the textures on battle models... but most of them have no texture. to have a fully textured model, we need to edit the lgp to insert our custom models. Otherwise you'd just be upgrade things like the eyes etc.

Direct mode is the way to circumvent messing with LGPs

Amazing work Felix.  I didn't expect anyone to attempt the WM after Pyrozen did it, but damn nice job.
 
Ok I see ! So we still need to modify LGP files for battle models (I've forgot that sometimes the mod can have more files than the original one too !)

I've never used Direct Mode, I've seen explanations on the cfg file, but I did'nt try it yet. Thanks to you two for your answers !
 
Direct Mode - Put the uncompressed files in the appropriate folder. Works as if they were in the lgp itself. Its a beautiful little feature.

that was about the time i gave up on finishing, lol. Alberto contributed them in his short time here, and i never bothered to redo them. You working is simply amazing, now i wish i hadn't wasted 6 months working on my version of this, though this is a totally different style.

@ Pyrozen : You haven't wasted 6 months working on your version ... this was already a really good enhancement  ! This was better than the original map in anyway ! So it wasn't a waste of time (I was happy using your world map !).

I agree, I prefer the textures from Felix_Leonheart, but when did you do your version ? .... So all I want to say is that your version was really appreciate too !

@Felix_Leonheart : I wish you good luck, I've understand that you have exams and what you have started need a lot of works ... so just good luck to you !
 
definitely a good start on the meteor. Although I think it should look a bit more violent.

Yep, it uses additive blending, so the meteor will be always pink X|
