Looks like the textures are too high-res for my 720p monitor (they look too busy and grainy, if you know what I mean).
Hmmm, a LowRes version is needed....
 
Would it be possible to have some screenshots of the original and reworked areas side by side?

It would be nice for a direct comparison without having to run the game and play it.
 
Hold that thought. The driver may be able to sort out this grainyness issue.
Anisotropic filtering or mipmaps maybe?

I was for waiting the complete release ... but seeing screens just make me want to try the new world map now ^^ Thanks again Felix Leonhart, amazing as usual !

What an incredible improvement since the last WMRP release!  Everything looks smoother and colored better.

That has got to be the most common battle area that sticks in my mind. That is amazing! Only thing I want to note is the ground may be a bit too bright compared to the original, as isn't it an overcast day? On a side note, that new interface almost makes it look like you're playing FF8 with FF7 characters :P
 
Yeah, BTW, my mod is stand-by... Does anybody knows how to import models (and, of course, have time to teach me)? If so, PM me.
 
Excellent work, FeliX Leonhart and thanks for the screenshots.

The only part I am not so convinced about is the world map grass which looks a bit... I wouldn't know the tech word but I'd say messy, if you know what I mean (the grass in the latest battle scene picture instead is simply marvellous). I am sorry I cannot come with a real constructive criticism.

Yeah, it's a bit noisy. Firstly, let's wait for new aali's driver
 
Try turning on linear_filter in the config file. I dont recommend you to play with that setting on but if that makes it look better there's hope for a driver-based solution.

I'll give it a try, then I'll let you if it worked (I need to download it again first).

EDIT: Yeah, it's definitely better with it on. The graininess is significantly reduced.

you do know what a WIP means right? Anyway just wait until the final release before complaining about how textures are showing up
 
sorry but I not complaining. I only asking if this problem is for my configuration
 
I know I am just telling you that a WIP has a lot of errors like this so its very unlikely that its just your problem. Is this happening to all the mountains on your world map or only a specific spot?
