There is Qhimm's Save Editor Griever.  Rather outdated with Hyne around, but it exists.
 
I updated the list again.  It's still just a start.  Please contribute links!

Download these files and copy them to .\shaders\nolight :  main.frag   main.vert
(overwrite? => YES)

I've been told shaders aren't really even necessary by Aali, for most no difference will be seen/felt.  So if push comes to shove, disable them like I have.
 
I like the shaders because I use Bloom. I think it looks pretty cool. But everyone has their own personal preference  :-P

Just trying to start the install of this and am downloading mods while I try to figure out how to do that in Windows 7 (it's not even installing, but that's a separate issue). In the meantime, a few of the above links are dead:

Hello, just wondering if there are any mods that make it so you only have to hold down the GF boost button instead of tapping it repeatedly.

I've read that if you rely on GFs then you're doing it wrong.  One should utilize the abilities of the GF to make the character powerful in combat and not need the GF to inflict damage. 
However, while I feel like I'm contradicting myself, is there a mod to speed up the animation of the GF?
 
Could someone send me main.frag   main.vert so I'll be able to fix this "Everything is made of light" bug. I'd like to have eax.dll 4.0.0.1, moreover I really need the RaW.exe installer, torrent files have no seeders anymore  :(

Hey, do we know if these work with the new Steam release?
 
SeeD and RaW are the best mods for FF8 currently -- but SeeD only works with the PC version (and Aali's driver)

The Steam version is FAIL without widescreen and Project SeeD... DLPB's Updated RaW has made the game barely passable, but Squeenix really botched the new release.

The PC version really only NEEDS 3 more things:

- World/Town textures in the game need improvement
(The worst part of the game currently.  I know there's better textures sitting in the game files - Aali said there might be a way to access them a long time ago, but I have no idea if progress has been made)

- Triple Triad Game needs to be Improved
[I have already completed a Master PNG file with all of the cards ready to go, just need a way to direct the game to look there instead of the TIM file in the ff8.exe]

- Character Models need new Textures (I.E. Squall's Belt)
[I know Magochocobo has some awesome ones... let's hope we can get these in the game!]


These last 2 would be nice, but they are huge undertakings:

- Background images could be improved (Deling Project?)
(Huge undertaking, and in my opinion, not really that neccessary, except for characters drawn into the background in some scenes)

- Magic FX could be improved
(Another huge undertaking - but if there's a way for the game to look for PNG's instead of TIM's [like what's needed for Triple Triad] it can be done)


Also, I'm currently working my butt off to release some updates to the SeeD menu project - I've redone a lot of the TEX files in the game that hadn't been used yet, and hope to have a comprehensive set with ALL of the TEX to PNG conversions done by the end of Jan.  Keep checking the SeeD page for my updates!
